The Black (previously the Black Bull Inn & Restaurant) has been at the heart of the village for hundreds of years. Originally a coaching Inn and then a thriving local pub, this charming property is packed with character.

Situated 12 miles from the historic market town of Hexham, we are a perfect base from which to explore the dark skies, roman forts and much much more.

As a small family business, we are passionate about making your stay an experience to remember. We have created cosy and luxurious surroundings with little extra touches to create a home away from home.
